It is a single action piston pump, used for pumping liquid oxygen and further gasifying it in Heat Exchanger. The gas is then filled into cylinders at the pressure of 165 kg/cm2. The horizontal type Liquid Oxygen Pump comes with piston, safety devices, piston ring, non–return valves, V-belts, motor with pulley, belt guard and inter connecting pipes with ASU. This product is specially engineered for application in the air separation unit. There is no need to control liquid feed, as the pump has been manufactured as per the plant size and the produced liquid is repeatedly pumped off. The drive unit in this is same as any reciprocating machine, and includes Crank Shaft, Connecting Rod, Flywheel, Cross Head, etc.
Our Liquid Oxygen Pump has a S.S. inside liner combined with liquid inlet as well as outlet ports for evaporated gas. These ports do not have any valve, and thus get closed by piston itself on pressure stroke. There is a third outlet with 2 non return ball valves for the main discharge. During suction stroke, these two ball valves remain tightly closed owing to the high pressure in partly-filled cylinders. Further, to make certain that the valves are completely closed, positive pressure close to 60 kgs/cms2 must be maintained. While taking a fresh batch of cylinders for filling gas, open the manifold valve steadily or you can also use spare cylinder's batch to make sure that there is positive pressure on the valves.
